How To Get Started With Zoom?

For Desktop

  • Step 1: To get started with Zoom. First, you have to “SIGN UP.”
  • Step 2: Create a new Zoom account using your work email address.
  • Sign in using SSO (Single Sign-On)/ Google/ Facebook account.
  • Step 3: Click on the confirmation e-mail
  • Step 4: Download the desktop app/ Zoom client for easy access.

For Mobile

  • Step 1: Download the Zoom app
  • Step 2: Sign up or sign in to Zoom by following the on-screen instructions similar to the desktop process.

How To Set Up a Zoom Meeting?

  • Step 1: Log in to Zoom Meeting
  • Step 2: Click on “HOST A MEETING”
  • Step 3: Edit meeting settings or copy the “Invitation URL” and send them to your attendees.

For Mobile

  • Step 2: Tap the “New Meeting”.

How To Join a Zoom Meeting?

To join using a meeting link, you just need to click or paste the meeting link into your web browser to join the meeting.

  • Step 1: Click on the “Join” icon after opening the App
  • Step 2: Paste the Meeting ID in the box provided, set your display name, and click on the “Join” Button

How To Schedule Meeting In Zoom?

For Desktop

  • Step 1: Head to the Zoom app and click the blue “Schedule” button to schedule meeting.
  • Step 2: Enter meeting details in the Schedule Meeting window.
  • Step 3: Once you’ve adjusted preferences, click the “Schedule” button.
  • For Mobile
  • Step 1: Open the Zoom app.
  • Step 2: Go to the Meet & Chat homepage and tap on the “Schedule” button.
  • Step 3: Enter the meeting name, date, and time and tap “Done.”
  • Step 4: You will be redirected to your preferred calendar. Once you are there, enter participant names, set the notifications and such into your calendar event, and tap “Done.”

How To Record Zoom Meeting?

Unlike Physical meetings, the experience and the clarity of online meetings are somewhat skewed. Because of this, many people would feel glad if there was an easy way to record online meetings. The good news here is you can record easily with Zoom and store it in Zoom Cloud where every member of your team can easily view the footage of the meeting across multiple platforms.

For Desktop

  • Step 1: Start the Zoom Call
  • Step 2: Click on the “Record” icon in the Zoom toolbar.
  • Step 3: Click on “Record on this Computer” or “Record to the Cloud.” to start recording.
  • Step 4: Click “Pause/Stop Recording” or end the meeting to stop recording.

For Mobile

  • Step 1: After you start a meeting, Tap on “More”.
  • Step 2: Select the “Record to Cloud”.
  • Step 3: Pause or stop the recording by clicking the same option i.e., more
  • To access the recordings, log in to your Zoom account on a browser.

Although this online meeting application is one of the big hits, Zoom is not an end-all-be-all for online meetings. You can still use older mediums like Facebook Video Call, Google Meet, and Skype.
